This collection of 30 sad stories will bring tears in your eyes unless you're heartless.

"Your first gift was beautiful and your last gift is the most beautiful." He said holding his newborn daughter while standing next to her lifeless body.

"I'm telling you for the last time not to drive rash on your way home", she cautioned him, not knowing it was the last time indeed.

After so many years, she had finally found the purpose of her life. Just a day before being diagnosed with cancer.

At the bus-stop, They both wrapped the jackets around them to keep the wind out. One was waiting for the bus home, the other preparing for the night.

I was. You are.

"Mama, look! Papa's photo on paper!!" exclaimed the 3 year old girl. "Army chief lost his life trying to save victims of North east floods" read the newspaper headlines.

She went to school, hoping that her day would end soon. It ended unusually soon, but she came back home in a coffin.

She found him at peace, lying still, with a smile on his face as people around him cried. That was the last time she saw him smile, and also the last time she smiled herself.

On his way back home, he texted his wife and told her that he was on his way back home and couldn't wait to have dinner with his loving family. The text message never reached its destination, and neither did he.

He shaved his head and showed it to his mom, 'See mommy, I'm just like you, There's nothing wrong!'
She kissed his bald head and hugged him tightly, tears trickling down her eyes.

"If you ever feel scared, call me, I'll be there, His mother had told him.
As his plane went down in flames, her words kept him smiling."

She was wonderful, beautiful, I loved her; and then she died.
My trusted bodyguard planted a bomb in my car...she drove it before I did.

"Someday, we'll sit on the beach and watch the sunrise together", he said. 
Tears rolled down her cheeks while she was sitting on the beach alone that morning, wishing he had taken the other bus.

Standing before the altar, I watched the woman I have loved all my life walk slowly down the
aisle, beautiful in her wedding dress, her eyes sparkling with love. That was the day I was best  man at my best friend's wedding.

Every night, from a small gift store on the way home, he used to buy something for her. Every morning, a sweeper at a cemetery used to smile.

The lonely mother finally saw her son come home with glittering medals and awards. But hugging his lifeless body didn't give her much pleasure.

Soldier: "I was there, at the Border, fighting for my nation.
And my nation was busy fighting for votes."

Sitting in a Mercedes, he thought "Why would she think of me, a rich spoiled boy"
Sweeping the floor, she thought "Why would he think of me, a poor class-less girl"

While walking down the street, I heard an old man say "I've been in love with the same woman for almost 50 years now."
I was touched until I heard him say "I wish she knew."

I asked a 14 year old boy working at a cycle repair shop how much he earns in a month and how much money he sends to his parents. Apparently, both the questions had the same answer .

He died for her, when he could have lived for me", those were the last words of his mother.

She had a loving father, who  passed away. Her step-dad loved her too but not quite in the same way.

Sometimes, he'll pretend she didn't die and create a life with her but his heart shows him the truth; she is gone and his life is empty and cold. In his mind he screams, fury and anger and pain and loneliness, a sound that reaches heaven and demands to know 'why?' but silence is the only answer.

The mother wanted her son to cry once, cry out loud. 
And prove to everyone that he was not stillborn.

"I never loved you, leave me alone" he said to her over the phone clutching his cancer-postive medical report.
She opened her bottle of sleeping pills for her last sleep.

"Buses will not stop here."   I could not read it because I was blind and he could not read it because he was illiterate.

Before the surgery, doctors gave her the form to sign consenting a kidney to her husband.
After the surgery, lawyers gave her the divorce papers .

She Killed me thrice. First, when she looked at me; second, when she smiled. And third when I saw somebody else in her eyes.

She was a rainbow.
He was colorblind.

He was lying on the road with his shirt covered with blood, crying for help.
The crowd standing still and waiting for someone to come and help and the time went off.
